AFLALO is seeking a flou draper with an exceptional hand and a clear point of view. This is a central creative role for someone who understands drape instinctively, how fabric moves, holds tension, releases, and ultimately shapes the body.

This role is draping first. You will work in close collaboration with the design team to develop flou silhouettes that balance ease, tension, and control, creating pieces that feel modern, restrained, and quietly sensual. 

You will play a meaningful role in shaping AFLALO’s flou language and seasonal silhouettes, with creative influence. The role is based in our SoHo atelier, where you will work alongside a talented design team, an expert tailoring pattern maker, and a full cutting and sewing team, allowing ideas to move fluidly from drape to garment.

What we are looking for

  • A refined, confident draping hand with strong aesthetic judgment

  • Deep understanding of flou, including movement, weight, and proportion

  • Ability to drape directly on the form and evolve ideas intuitively

  • Collaborative by nature and comfortable working closely with designers

  • An eye for silhouettes that feel elevated, fresh, and beautiful

  • Experience can range from approximately 3 to 20 plus years, with talent and taste valued over tenure
